Ken Pounds, age 79 of Amarillo, TX, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. A graveside service was held in his honor at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Littlefield Memorial Park in Littlefield, TX. Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Idalou.

Ken was born on March 30, 1942 in Henderson, Tennessee to Leonard and Inez (Tucker) Pounds. He was a longtime resident of Amarillo. He worked in outside sales for most of his career. He was very family oriented. He had a great sense of humor and loved to joke with people. He enjoyed outdoor activities including: fishing and hunting and was a lifetime member of the NRA. Ken was a member of the Amarillo Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Ken was preceded in death by his mother, brothers and father.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; and sons, Lonnie Pounds of Dallas, TX, and Mike Pounds and his wife, Denise of Amarillo, TX; and his grandchildren: Brooke Teachout and husband, James of Amarillo, TX, and MacKenzie Clifton and husband, Zachary of San Antonio, TX, and Autumn Pounds and Austin Pounds; and great-grandson Kherrington Teachout of Amarillo, TX. Ken will be greatly missed by all.
