Area cities receive sales tax revenue


Texas Comptroller Glennn Hegar explained Thursday, that the Texas sales tax revenue totaled $2.46 billion in October, which is 6.9% more than in October 2016.

In his report on Nov. 2, the five Lamb County cities received a total of $118,008.47 for the current reporting period, which is more than the $109,287.49 they received for this period in 2016.

So far this year, the five cities have received a total of $1,181,974.37 in tax returns; while they had received $1,146.372.61 at this time last year.
