Jose Bernardino Ibanez, 67, of Olton, died Saturday, July 24, 2021, in Lubbock. Rosary was said Tuesday evening, July 27, 2021, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Olton. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Fr. Jeremy Trull officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Mr. Ibanez was born May 20, 1954, in Guadalupe, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Gregorio and Natalia (Najera) Ibanez. On Oct. 28, 1978, Jose married Josefina Gonzales. He moved to Olton in 1978 and was a farmer. A member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Jose enjoyed cooking out with family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Robert Ibanez, Daniel Ibanez, Moises Avendano, Jesus Mejia, Constancio Guerrero, Andres Sanchez, Victor Ibanez, Jr, and Jay Light.
