In Loving Memory Of Gene Rogers

Gene Rogers, 83, of Littlefield passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in Littlefield. He was born August 21, 1937 in Zaneis, Oklahoma to Aubrey and Lois (Davis) Rogers.

Gene proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Martha Huey on February 23, 1967 in Mount Springs, Texas. He worked for many years in the oil and gas industry, in gathering and transport. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Littlefield to be closer to family. Gene enjoyed being outside, eswas a his grandchildren, and he liked spending time with them and watching them play sports. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Littlefield.

Gene is survived by his wife of 53 years, Martha Rogers of Littlefield; a son, Ronnie Rogers and wife, Julie of Littlefield; a daughter, Reta Owen and husband, William of Tupelo, Mississippi; a daughter-in-law, Amy Young of Danville, West Virginia; seven grandchildren, Alicia Hutchison, Chris Wilder, Kristi Truxthal, Sabrina Flowers, Steven Young, Ryan Rogers, and Reese Rogers; twelve great grandchildren; and other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Dwayne Young; a granddaughter, Lindsey Lavender; a sister, Mary Curran; and his parents.

Memorial Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 12, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Littlefield with Pastor Mitch Wilson officiating. The service will be broadcast virtually, you can watch at https://www.youtube.com/channel/ UCKiisYzo0W8cycnVv1oD86A.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
