County’s voters faver Republican candidates

Lamb County Clerk Tonya Ritchie has released the unofficial voting results report for Lamb County’s Nov. 3 General Election.

There were a total of 4,430 voters who cast their ballots for this election, whether by mail-in, early voting, and on Tuesday, Nov. 3, election day.

Residents of the United States still did not know who was to be announced as winner of the President and Vice President election, as of Friday morning, Nov. 6, since some states were still counting.

Looking through the unofficial Lamb County results report that were reported to the Texas Secretary of State, Lamb County voters approved every Republican candidate on the ballot, including all of them that had an opponent.

As the highlight of the Lamb County results, the race for President: Donald J. Trump and Vice President Michael R. Pence, received 3,513 Lamb County votes; while the opponents, Joseph R. Biden and Kamala D. Harris received a total of 835 votes. The other two presidential candidates on the ballot, were: Libertarian: Jo Jorgensen and Jeremy “Spike” Cohen, who only got 38 votes; and Green Party: Howie Hawkins andAngela Walker, only received 7 votes.

Repub., Jodey C. Arrington, 3,574 votes; Dem. Tom Watson, 732 votes; and Lib, Joe Burnes, 65 votes.

RAILROAD COMMISSIONER

Lamb County voters chose to return Republican John Cornyn to his Senate seat, by a vote of 3,463 total votes; while Democratic candidate, Mary “MJ” Hegar received 794 votes. The other two candidates, Libertarian Kerry Douglas McKennon, got 74 votes; and Green Party candidate, David B. Collins got 22 votes. U.S. REPRESENT., DIST. 19
