The Hornets opened the contest at their own 27-yard line after the kick-return from Brian Delgado.

Sudan leaned on the run game early and often, as Angel Martinez picked up five yards on a first down run, and Kyler Edwards followed it up with a run across midfield to the Eagles’ 46-yard line to move the chains for the Hornets. Edwards would carry it again on first down for nine yards, but Haden Provence was stuffed on the next play, trying to call his own number, bringing up third down.

Martinez carried it up the middle for a first down to the 22-yard line, and Haden Provence followed it up with a quarterback keeper, taking it through the middle for nine yards to the 13-yard line.

Out of the break, Haden Provence connected with Will Armstrong over the middle for a first down to the Eagles’ 33-yard line, and Edwards followed it up with a run up the middle for no gain. Two plays later, the Hornets were faced with fourth and long, as Haden Provence scrambled out to his left and found Edwards in the endzone for the 33-yard touchdown pass. The twopoint conversion pass was no good, leaving the score, 18-0, going into the locker room at halftime.
