'Dub' Taylor

In Loving Memory Of  'Dub' Taylor

Jan. 20, 1964 ~ July 17, 2026

"Dub" Taylor, 62, of Littlefield, Texas passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026. He was born in Littlefield, Texas on January 20, 1964, to William 'Bruce' Taylor, Sr. and Phyllis Taylor.

Dub lived most of his life on the South Plains of Texas in Littlefield for the last 25 years. He had an immense love for the Lord and the church he attended. Going to church was the highlight of his week. Dub looked forward to worshiping and visiting with those he knew. He was not only glad to see someone he knew, but he was also delighted. There was no doubt how excited he was, judging by the way his face would light up and the compliment he would freely give. In addition to his devotion to the Lord, he also loved spending time with his family, whether it was camping, traveling, or just spending time at home. Dub and his family took many memorable trips in their motor home. His family and friends are the ones that brought the most joy to Dub's life. If he knew you, you were a friend for life. Reflective of his relationship with the Lord, once his people, always his people, you would not be forgotten! He loved everyone fiercely, even though he might not have said it, he most certainly showed it. Dub could brighten anyone's day with just a simple conversation about the weather, or questions about kids or grandkids. His kindness was immeasurable.

He and his brother, Brian, competed in swimming events in the Special Olympics, both locally and across the state. Dub was especially good at remembering important dates like birthdays or special events. If he knew your birthday, he would not forget it. He had a servant's heart, an easy smile, and loved looking out for his family and friends. Dub may not have done great things, but he did everything with great love.

Those left to cherish his memory are his father, William 'Bruce' Taylor, Sr.; his two siblings, Brian Taylor of Littlefield, and Selina Vaughn and spouse, Matt Vaughn of Wolfforth; several cousins; nieces and nephews.

Dub will continue on his next adventure with one of his favorite people, Phyllis Taylor, his mother.

Funeral services for Dub Taylor will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 27, 2026, at Grace Chapel within Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas with Pastor Tanner Wilson officiating.
