Alice Jaquess Patterson
Oct. 13, 1946 ~ July 19, 2026
Heaven rejoiced when on July 19, 2026, Alice was received into her Lord's loving arms.
Born on October 13, 1946 to Travis and Velma Dean Jaquess, Alice spent her formative years in Earth, Texas where she graduated from Springlake High School as the Salutatorian. Earth is also where Alice met the love of her life, John H. Patterson. Alice and John spent the next 59 years in devoted love to each other and their family. They married on January 22, 1967, moved to Odessa in 1970, and raised two sons, Jodie Patterson and Chad Patterson. Alice had a strong calling and love for God, America, Reconciliation and Israel. It was in these areas that she became known as the Connector. Using her gifts to align different individuals with like desires, or those that had needs which she was able to bring together for the fulfillment and blessing of each other. She helped many with her teachings, mentoring, writing and long conversations on the phone. Alice was engaged in government transformation via grassroots mobilization since 1984, starting in local Odessa elections, then state, and ultimately at the federal level. In the 90's Alice was the Texas coordinator for Christian Coalition, establishing 154 chapters throughout the State of grassroots individuals who enlisted others in their areas of influence. This was a key factor in turning Texas government conservative. Alice was the director of Pray Texas, and later the director of Justice at the Gate ministries.
Alice was preceded in death by her mother and father; brother, David; sister, Judy; and daughter-in-law, Marcelle (Chad).
Those left to cherish her memory and legacy are her husband, John Patterson; sons, Jodie Patterson (Alisa) and Chad Patterson (Marcelle); grandchildren, Tarin Homefield, Kaleb Walker, Wyatt Patterson, Kaitlyn Patterson and Rose Patterson; great grandchildren, Braylee Homefield and Bronson Homefield. Also, many friends and associates who are loved as family.
