Muriel Joyce Streety was born on April 12,1933 in Cherokee County, Texas. She died June 17, 2026, in her home in Littlefield, Texas surrounded by her family.
Joyce was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Littlefield. She loved reading and gardening. She graduated from Dumas High School. She worked at American Cotton Growers for 30 years.
She is preceded in death by husbands Joe Carlton Wyatt, and Raymond Aubrey Ellerbe; a son, Gregory Allen Wyatt; her parents, G.W. and Wilma Childers Matteson; five brothers; and one sister.
Muriel is survived by her four children, Kathryn Gail Riley of Littlefield, Texas, Joe Carlton Wyatt, Jr. and wife, Kathy of Weatherford, Texas, Karen Elaine Heard and husband, Emmett of Dimmitt, Texas, and Donna Lynnette Hemlow of North Carolina; ten grandchildren; fifteen greatgrandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas.
