Danny Barron Garcia, 64, of Anton, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026, in Anton, Texas. He was born on April 5, 1962, in Littlefield, Texas, to Pedro and Ninfa Garcia.
Danny's first memories were those made with his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Seldom were Danny or his siblings ever bored as children because they had each other. Danny graduated from Anton ISD and then went on to attend South Plains College. He became a talented welder and did many welding jobs throughout his life.
Danny had numerous nephews and a niece that loved their 'Uncle Danny.' His love, laughter, strength, and presence touched many lives. Danny was devoted to his family and friends. He knew how to make others laugh and that gave him great joy. His heart was full of kindness. Danny loved his canine companion, Flash. Danny's presence lit up every room he entered. His family will cherish countless memories, stories, and moments shared with him. Danny's legacy will live on through all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his three loving siblings, Pedro Garcia, Jr. (Julia) of Lubbock, Texas, Andres Garcia of Lubbock, Texas, and Matilda (Frank) Elizondo of Anton, Texas; and numerous nephews, a niece, and extended family members.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Ninfa Garcia; and his sister, Yolanda Garcia Sanchez.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 15, 2026 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Anton with Father Seth Lorenz officiating. Inurnment will follow in Anton Cemetery. Prayer services will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday June 14, 2026 at Grace Chapel in Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas.
