Don’t Worry Trust God Instead...
Good Morning Dear friends, I pray to find you all blessed and refreshed in Jesus name.
It seems that worry has become a normal part of life. We worry about our families, our finances, our health, our future, and even things that may never happen. In a world filled with uncertainty, it’s easy to allow fear and anxiety to take up residence in our hearts.
The truth is, worry is a burden that God never intended for us to carry alone.
Jesus addressed this very issue in His Sermon on the Mount. In Matthew 6:25-26 (NKJV), He said: “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on... Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
What a comforting reminder. The same God who cares for the birds of the sky and the flowers of the field is watching over His children. Nothing about your life escapes His attention. He sees your struggles, knows your needs, and understands your concerns even before you speak them.
Trusting God does not mean we ignore reality or pretend our problems don’t exist. It means we choose to believe that God is greater than our problems. It means placing our confidence in His faithfulness rather than our circumstances.
The Apostle Paul gives us this encouragement in Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV): “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Notice the invitation: instead of worrying about everything, pray about everything. Worry tends to focus on what might happen. Prayer focuses on the God who is already there. Worry drains our strength; prayer renews it. Worry steals our peace; prayer restores it.
Many of us have discovered that some of life’s greatest blessings came after heartaches or seasons of uncertainty. Looking back, we can see how God provided, protected, and guided us even when we couldn’t understand what He was doing. The same God who was faithful then is faithful now Hallelujah!
As we navigate the challenges of everyday life, let’s remember that God’s promises are stronger than our fears. He has not called us to carry tomorrow’s burdens today. He has called us to trust Him one day at a time.
Dear Friends, this week I would like to leave you with a challenge: Identify one specific worry that has been weighing heavily on your heart. Write it down. Then spend time in prayer and intentionally place that concern into God’s hands. Each time that worry returns, answer it with faith by thanking God for His care and trusting Him to lead the way.
You may not know what tomorrow holds, but you can know the One who holds tomorrow. Amen.
And that changes everything! Lets Pray: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your constant love and care. Forgive us for the times we allow worry to overshadow our faith. Help us to trust You more deeply and to rest in Your promises. Fill our hearts with Your peace and remind us daily that You are in control. Strengthen us to walk by faith and not by fear. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
With Love, Pastor Billy Montes
