The Lamb County Library is offering a full lineup of summer activities this June, giving families and students a variety of ways to stay reading and engaged during the break.
The schedule includes multiple themed events and reading opportunities that are designed to encourage creativity and community involvement for all age groups.
This month’s activities started off June 4, with a Family Movie Night, featuring a free showing of Zootopia 2.
On June 11, the library will host How to Bedazzle a Book Cover from 6 to 8 p.m., an event where participants can bring their own book or use a book provided by the library to decorate its cover, with all decorating materials supplied.
The T-Rex Tea Party is also set for June 18 from 6 to 8 p.m., where attendees can come dressed in formal attire, dinosaur-themed outfits, or casual clothing. The event will include free tea, tea-style finger foods, and an arts-and-crafts dino tail competition, where participants will craft a dinosaur tail.
A Dino Scavenger Hunt will follow the tea party on June 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is open to all ages, though children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
In addition to themed events, the library is hosting its Dive Into Reading program throughout June and July. Participants can earn a free pool pass for every five books read at their reading level, up to a maximum of five per person.
The library will also hold a Donuts With Dad event on June 20 from 10 a.m. to noon. The event will offer free donuts and coffee in celebration of Father’s Day, and is open to the public.
All events are open to the community, with most activities free to attend. For any questions, please call the Lambs County Library or visit their website for more information.
