In Loving Memory Of

Jan. 20, 1943 ~ March 24, 2026

Nancy Carlisle, 83, of Littlefield, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home after a brief illness. Nancy was born January 20, 1943 in Littlefield to B.E. and Areda Turner.

She grew up in Littlefield and married the love of her life, Nelson Carlisle on March 6, 1959. They were married for 66 years, until his passing four months ago. Nancy and Nelson made a great partnership in serving the Lord and serving others. They were role models to many. Their devotion of loving and serving stretched far beyond family.

Nancy devoted her life to being a Christian wife and mother. She was an amazing homemaker, Sunday school teacher, and volunteer. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, crafts, and reading. She was a nature lover and marveled at the beauty of plants and animals. She was affectionately known as "Nan". Her legacy will forever be one of love, time, simplicity and selflessness. She listened to and followed the Spirit, not asking what she could do, BUT knowing what to do for others and doing it!

She and Nelson raised their daughters in Goodland,Texas with their home church being Maple Church of Christ before moving and retiring in Littlefield in the early 2000s.

Nancy is survived by her three daughters and their husbands, Jackie and Kendon Zahn, Julie and Keith Layton, and Lori and Doug Stutler; and eight grandchildren: Kagney and Matt Paden, Brandon and Silvia Zahn, Lance and Carli Layton, Allison and Kelsey Maxwell, Brandon and Alyssa Wianecki, Logan and Ashten Stutler, Luke and Aubrey Stutler, and Mitch Stutler and fiance' India Lange. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Zaylee, Layne, Parker, Brooklyn, Bowen, Gentry, Layton, Jack, Beck, Emersyn, Grayson, and Brooks, and Sammy, with another blessing expected in 2026. Nancy leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will dearly miss her.

She is preceded in death by her husband Nelson and sister Frankie Lunsford.
