Trinidad Martinez Rendon, 90, of Anton, Texas, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, June 9, 2025. He was born on January 31, 1935, to Manuel and Ana Cleta Rendon in Marion, Texas. He married Elida Medina on December 16, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas.

Trinidad and Elida moved to Anton in 1956. He was a hard worker. He farmed for 30 years and then went to work at Eagle Pitcher as a machinist building Caterpillar Tractors for 35 years. He was young at heart and was known as the "cool grandpa". He enjoyed dancing, listening to music, watching westerns and old movies. He loved to take long drives in the country looking for wildlife, being on his patio, BBQing and being with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three sons, Trinidad Rendon Jr., of Lubbock, Texas, Edward Rendon of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Adam Rendon of Lubbock, Texas; four daughters, Cindy Garcia of Plainview, Texas, Rosa Lisama of Anton, Texas, Edna Rendon of Clayton, California, and Melissa Chavez of Austin, Texas; fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Oscar Rendon of Austin, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Elida Rendon; five brothers, Dario Rendon, Vidal Rendon, Alex Rendon, Joe Rendon, and Jesse Rendon; a sister, Stella Martinez; and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Anton, Texas with Father Ernesto Lopez officiating. Interment will follow in Anton Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Dustin Lisama, Adrian Rodriguez, Breeze Rendon, Noah Rendon, Michael Rendon and Jacob Rendon. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025, at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas.
