In Loving Memory Of Phyllis Gaylene Taylor

Phyllis Gaylene Taylor, 85, of Littlefield, Texas, went peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. She was born on October 8, 1939, in Seattle, Washington to O.D. and Esther Oakley. She married William "Bruce" Taylor in August 1957 at the First Baptist Church in Anton, Texas.
Phyllis enjoyed traveling the country with her husband in their motor home. She was an avid reader, a talented seamstress and quilter. She was the President of the Red Hat Ladies, volunteered at church and the Ladies Auxiliary at Lamb County Health Care in Littlefield. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Littlefield. She loved the Lord and always said the most beautiful prayers. She was kind, generous, and always had a smile. Her concern for others always outweighed her own.
Those left behind to cherish her memories are her husband, Bruce Taylor of Littlefield, Texas; two sons, William Bruce "Dub" Taylor and "Brian" Dee Taylor both of Littlefield, Texas; a daughter, Selina Vaughn and husband, Matt of Wolfforth, Texas; four grandchildren, Shawn Powers and wife, Deena of California, Dawn Duhon and husband, Chris of Lucas, Texas, Lana Jasper and husband, Chris of Prosper, Texas, and Phillip Powers and wife, Misty of Lubbock, Texas; a sister, Clara Ann of Oklahoma; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Kathy Bullard.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, June 9, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Littlefield, Texas with Pastor Tanner Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Littlefield Memorial Park.
