Friday, Nov. 1, 2024 Harvest activity was in full swing this week as many were trying to get ahead of the potential rain showers this weekend.
Plains Cotton Growers travelled to two different farms in Lamb County to watch some irrigated cotton get stripped. While they don’t know the quality grade yet, both producers felt the cotton was mature and some of their best for the year. While most dryland has been receiving low quality grades or been abandoned in the PCG service area, we hold out hope for a better crop year in 2025 and some strong policy to help farm country hang on for years to come.
