Lamb Co. Retired School Personnel Association to hold first meeting of 2026-27

The Lamb County Retired S chool Personnel Association will hold their first meeting of the 20262027 year on Tuesday, September 1 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the Littlefield Methodist Church.

The program will be given by District XVII President Robert Cooper and S t ate Legislative Chairman Eric McKnight. Events this year will include our annual Christmas Toy Drive, beginning in October and ending at the Christmas luncheon in December. At each meeting we will also collect money for our annual book distribution to the second graders in Lamb County. At the October meeting, Tim Walker will review the propositions which will be voted on in the November elections. Later meetings will focus on hobbies which our members enjoy, an u pdate on the Littlefield Independent School District, delivering books to the second graders, and the Installation of Officers in May.

We invite current school personnel and re tired school personnel to join us at our meetings and to become members of Texas Retired Teachers. Being a member of Texas Retired Teachers has many member benefits and the organization is working with the Texas State Legislature for extended benefits for members.
