Lfd. Board of Trustees holds special meeting

The Littlefield Independent School district’s Board of Trustees held a special meeting on Friday to discuss a 13-item agenda.The meeting was called to order at 12 p.m. by Board President Reese Rogers and the invocation was given by Garry Ozbirn.

Wildcats grind out win in season-opener

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team grinded out a tough win on the road on Friday night in Lamesa to take their seasonopener, 49-47. With the win, the Wildcats open the season with a mark of 1-0 overall on the year.

Martin Duran takes week one of Football Contest

The Lamb County Leader-News’ annual football contest made it’s return last week with its first round of games in the high school and college ranks.Martin Duran took first place in week one’s contest, finishing with a mark of 17-3, while Charlie Smith finished in second place with a record of 15-5.
