Wildcat season tickets go on sale August 14

The seasonal reserved Wildcat Football Tickets will be on sale beginning Monday, August 14th through Tuesday, August 31st at the Central Administration Offices, located at 1207 East 14th Street. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon), and again from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Private Pesticide Applicators Training set in Levelland on Aug. 17

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will offer the required private Pesticide Applicators Training (PAT) in Levelland on Thursday, August 17. This training is required by the Texas Department of Agriculture before taking the exam to obtain the license. A private pesticide applicator is a person who uses or supervises the use of a restricted-use or state limited- use pesticide or a regulated herbicide for the purpose of producing an agricultural commodity. This license is not for those receiving monetary compensation for a pesticide application.

Commissioners to meet Monday

A meeting of the Lamb County Commissioners’ Court will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2023, in the Lamb County Courthouse, where a 12—item agenda will be considered for appropriate action.

Texas Broadband Development Office asks for public input

The Texas Broadband Development Office (BDO) is asking for public input on internet accessibility, affordability, and usage. The BDO, which is administered by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts is partnering with the South Plains Association of Governments locally to inform the public and collect local data. The BDO has held a series of public input meetings across the State of Texas, and is planning a session in Lubbock next week.
