The Amherst Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture has announced that it is “Wild About Amherst!”, and has scheduled its “40th Annual Amherst Chamber Banquet” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2012, in the Amherst School Cafeteria.

Employers may honor assistants with baskets

Littlefield Rotary Club has made the decision to not host the Administrative Day Luncheon in April, due to concerns with the COVID-19 pandemic. Rotary, however, is currently selling “spa baskets” for $25 that employers may purchase to honor their assistants.

County’s sales tax revenue was $149,115 for March

(AUSTIN) — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar has reported that state sales tax revenue totaled $2.63 billion for March, 2021, which is 2.4% less than in March 2020. This amount, however, includes some revenue remitted in March that in normal circumstances would have been received by the state in February.

Water level measurements indicate average change of -1.33 feet

Drought conditions resulted in above-average groundwater pumping within the 16-county High Plains Underground Water Conservation District (HPWD) service area in 2020. An average decline of -1.33 feet was observed in the groundwater levels of the Ogallala/Edwards-Trinity (High Plains) Aquifer (ETHP) from 2020 to 2021.
