Cases that came before the 154- th District Court Judge of Lamb County on Thursday, March 22, 2021 and Friday, March 30, 2021, included these three Waivers of Jury Trials, and one case of Judgment Adjudicating Guilt.

WAIVER OF JURY TRIAL

Two Guilty pleas were entered before the District Judge, by Esmerejildo Balderas IV.

The first was a guilty plea entered by Balderas IV on a state jail felony indictment charge of Possession of a Controled Substance PG 1 <1G, an offense that occurred on Sept. 16, 2020.

The second was a guilty plea entered by Balderas IV on a state jail felony indictment charge of Fraud Use / Possession of Identifying Info on <5 items, an offense that also occurred on Sept. 16, 2020.

He was sentenced to nine months in Department of Criminal Justice, Correctional Institutions Division – State Jail. Both cases are to run concurrently, beginning March 22, 2021.

He is also to pay a $290 fine and $180 restitution to DPS Acct & Restitution in Austin, Tx.

Cornelio Delgado entered a guilty plea to the State Jail Felony Indictment charge of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, that occurred Jan. 6, 2020.

He was sentenced to six months in the Department of Criminal Justice, Correctional Institutions Division – State Jail.

He is also to pay a $1,000 fine, and $290 for Court Costs.

JUDGMENT ON GUILT

Lorena Duran went before 154th District Judge on March 30, 2021. She entered a plea of true, for the third-degree felony offense of Possession of Conrolled Substance PG 1 <1G DFZ IAT, that occurred June 19, 2020.

Jan. 25, 2021, she was ordered on Community Supervision, but following her March 30 plea of True to the Motion to adjudicate, the state recommended that the defendant’s punishment be five years, in the Institutional Division, TDCJ, to begin March 30, 2021.

She is also to pay $500 in fines, $290 for court costs, and $180 in restitution to the DPS, Restitution and Acct of Accounting and Restitution in Austin.
