Early Risers Lions Club Car Show

BEST OF CLASS WINNERS –There were four Best of Class winners at the Lion’s Club Car show which took place on Saturday, June, 19 at the Plaza Shopping Center Parking Lot in Littlefield. Gary Squires’ 1937 Ford Street won the 1963 & Before class, while Ryan Contreras’ 1981 Chevy Silverado won the 1964 to 1984 Class. In the 1986 to 1996 Class, Ismael Melendez’s 1986 Chevy C10 brought home the trophy, while Gary Woodward’s 2005 Chevy Corvette Z51 won first prize in the 1997 to Present Class. Springlake to have fireworks on Saturday, July 3rd

The Springlake Volunteer Fire Department’s annual 4th of July event this year will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021, instead of Sunday, July 4. This will be the 33rd year for that community’s Independence Day event, after having to cancel for the first time (last year) in 2020.

Juneteenth a busy day in Littlefield Saturday, June 19

Juneteenth (June 19, 2021) in Littlefield was a very busy day, with a variety of activities going on to entertain the public as they chose which they wanted to attend. The first part of the day was observed as a celebration of Juneteenth (a state holiday) at the Van Ashley Pavilion in Dunbar Park.

Museum Re-opening with Book Signing
