After being closed for about three months due to illnesses, the Lamb Healthcare Center’s Auxiliary Gift Shop has reopened. The doors will be open from 11 a.m.

State adds 95,800 jobs over the month

AUSTIN – In September, the seasonally adjusted Texas unemployment rate was 5.6 percent, a decrease of 0.3 percentage points from August 2021. Texas added 95,800 total nonagricultural jobs over the month, making gains in 16 of the last 17 months. Texas added a total of 711,500 jobs since September 2020.

Gas prices topping $3 across state The price of a gallon of gasoline tops $3 across much of the state, which is up more than $1.20 from a year ago, according to AAA. The average price for regular gas in Texas stood at $3.03 per gallon on Sunday as crude oil prices continue to creep up, closing above $80 per barrel.

Friday, Oct. 29th, is the last day to vote early for the eight Constitutitional Amendments for the special Nov. 2 election in Texas. You can go to the Lamb County Clerk’s office in the Lamb County Courthouse to vote. Oct. 29: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
