Lamb Co. RSPA to hold final meeting of the school year

The final meeting of the Lamb County Retired School Personnel Association for the 2025- 2026 school year will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. The meeting will be held at the new Junior High School at 10 a.m. to take a tour. The meeting will continue at Loco’s Restaurant at approximately 11:00 p.m.

Olton Junior High Students take an interactive field trip

Olton Junior High School sixth and seventh-grade students visited the National Ranching Heritage Museum in Lubbock on April 21, 2026.While there, students learned about ranching history and participated in hands-on activities at the Hank the Cowdog Ranch Life Learning Center.

SBOE drafting new TEKs standards

Texas’ State Board of Education ( SBOE) is coming closer to finalizing a draft of new social studies and reading requirements.The preliminary draft passed Friday by the SBOE is part of a review of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills standards, or TEKs.

TPC hosts 10th Annual Meeting

Texas Producers Cooperative held its 10th annual producers co-op event on Tuesday, April 28. The event invited members to come out, enjoy food, and attend a ceremony regarding updates, staff tributes, and giveaways.The event was a networking opportunity for everyone who attended.
