State Sales Tax Revenue totaled $4.3 Billion in Jan.

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $4.3 billion in January, 6.8 percent more than in January 2024.The majority of January sales tax revenue is based on sales made in December and remitted to the agency in January.

AgriLife Extension to host Profitability Workshops

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Castro/Hale/Lamb County is hosting two workshops for producers on using the profitability analyzer to quickly and accurately evaluate the relative profitability of all relevant crops. The workshops are on February 24th in Olton and February 25th in Plainview.

Ag Pesticide Waste Collection scheduled March 5 in Lamesa

The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), in cooperation with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, will be hosting a free Agricultural Pesticide Waste Collection Event in Dawson County on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. The event will run from 8 a.m. to noon at the Leeroy Colgan Building in Lamesa, TX.
