Late Cotton Widespread Throughout PCG Region

PLAINS COTTON GROWERSWhile some areas of the PCG service area may have fewer cotton acres than predicted, that is not the case when you head south on U.S. 87 from Lubbock to Lamesa. What is common; however, is the amount of either late planted or replanted cotton.

West Plains IPM Update, Current Situation

COTTON A great majority of our cotton acres went in the last week of May through the first 10 days of June. So, very little cotton is yet to square. Earlier planted cotton which survived all sorts of challenges has 1-4 first position squares, with very good retention (+90%).

Former Littlefield Lady Cat, Cali Saldana, signed on Thursday to continue her academic and softball career at The University of the Southwest in Hobbs, New Mexico.

City Council holds regular meeting Tuesday

The Littlefield City Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, June 24th, in the City Council Chambers, located at 525 Phelps Ave.The meeting was called to order at 6 p.m. by Mayor Eric Turpen and the invocation was given by Mayor pro tempore Kenny Rucker.
