A two vehicle wreck occurred Thursday evening around 7:53 p.m. on North County Road 1700 (Milwaukee Ave), south of County Road 6300 (Kent Ave), leaving one dead and two injured.
A 2022 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling southbound on North County Road (CR) 1700, and a 2008 Honda passenger car was traveling northbound on CR 1700. the Equinox crossed over the center stripe into the northbound lane and collided with the Honda.
The passenger from the Honda, Tyler Obed Thompson, 21, of Littlefield, Tx, was transported for injuried to University Medical Center in Lubbock and was later pronounced deceased at the hospital due to injuries sustained during the crash.
The driver of the Equinox, Daimon Dale Knight, 61, of Lubbock, Tx, was treated for minor injuries, and the driver of the Honda, Kahlil Lamont DeVaughn, 21, of Littlefield, Tx, was also treated for minor injuries.
