Gordon Graves of Spade, a member of the South Plains Antique Tractor Association, is hosting the Association’s Ninth Annual Antique Equipment “Plow Day” Saturday, March 27, 2021, on his farm just off FM 168, three miles north of Spade.

Graves will be joining several others who will be having fun using their antique equipment to “deep break” the land east of his barn and house.

Graves invites antique farm equipment owners, to bring their deep-breaking equipment and join others who will be breaking the ground.

He also has about 16 antique plows that will be available for those who want to use them.

The public is also invited to “Come on out and watch the action,” which will begin at about 8:30 a.m., and conclude at about 4 p.m.

Doris Muller will be serving the free noon meal.

After lunch, at about 1 p.m., a four-wheel trailer backing contest will begin, to see who can back the trailer straight for 100 feet, and get it across the line.
