Friday, May 12, 2023 marked the end of Junior High School and the progression into High School for 75 Littlefield Eighth students.

The ceremonies began as the students entered the Junior High School Auditorium to the familiar refrains of “Pomp and Circumstance”. The Welcome address was presented by Isaac Salazar President of the Jr. High Student Council. Followed by the recitation of The Pledge of Allegience and the Texas Pledge. The Commencement address was then presented by Mark Gonzales.

The Call of Candidates was performed by Monica Acevedo, Assistant Principal of Littlefield Junior High School. Certificates were presented by Adam Solis, Principal of Littlefield Junior High School who was assisted by Mark Gonzales. Fun Awards were presented by Monica Acevedo to a boy and girl in each category.

Smartest: Boston Haltom and Brianna Aleman Best Athlete: Jayden Barrio and Cobi Saldana Best Looking: Blayton Soliz and Shayla Lepez Most Likely to be Famous: Jayden Barrio and Nevaeh Lopez Role Model: Jayden Barrio and Maggie McNeese Best Dressed: Gabriel Mata and Jaelyn Tijerina Best Dancer: CJ Weaver and Fernanda Sarmiento Funniest: Blayton Soliz and Amanda Alvarado Best Singer: Ky Hays; Brianna Aleman Friendliest: Noah Duran and Avaley Campbell Prankster: Johnny Longoria and Kayla Castillo Most Talkative: AJ Cantu and Erykah Moore All Wildcat: Jayden Barrio and Cobi Saldana Following the awards, Isaac Salazar offered closing remarks and the new freshmen then left the Jr. High Auditorium in a recessional to the strains of “Sweet Caroline”. These Students will be the High School graduating class of 2027.
