From The Library...

Happy December!

We are two days into December and off to a great start! On Monday, Dec. 1, we celebrated our 2nd annual County Christmas Tree Lighting. We had a great turnout despite the cold, and served hot chocolate, donated by Emmanuel Lutheran Church, and popcorn, donated by Panhandle Popcorn. After the lighting of the tree we were able to fellowship around our LIVE nativity scenes! Littlefield Independent Baptist Church, First Baptist Church, and Trinity Church all created fantastic scenes for us to walk along and witness the birth of our Salvation. We would like to thank every person who had a hand in making this possible. It was a memorable night for our community!

Going back into November for a minute, our Sock Drive brought in 964 socks for the Salvation Army!! Every year is a chance to do better, so let’s aim for 1,000 in 2026!

Next up for our wonderful County is the Annual Christmas Bash!! Your library board has been working hard on this all year. We have adjusted some concerns and are making safety a top priority. We have maps available on our FaceBook page and will be posted in the Leader News as well. If you are able, please share our Christmas Bash information when it pops up on your FaceBook page, we want to reach as many people as we can. Don’t forget, we will have an information/ command center at the corner of FBC parking lot for any questions.

And bring your little ones by the library during the Bash for FREE pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
