Lfd. City Council holds special meeting March 12

The Governing body of the City of Littlefield met in Special Session on March 12th at the City Council Chambers, located at 525 Phelps Ave, for the purpose of considering all matters and related incidents to the City of Littlefield.

Mayor Pro Tempore Kenny Rucker called the meeting to order at 12 p.m. and Council Member Eric Saenz led the invocation. Mayor Pro Tempore Rucker led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Nobody requested to speak during the public comment portion of the meeting.

Item five on the agenda was Executive Session regarding pending or contemplated litigation settlement offers (Cause No. DCV20825-23), City of Littlefield, Texas vs. Siddharth, Inc., d/b/a Best Western Littlefield Inns & Suites; in the 154th Judicial District Court of Lamb County) Texas Government Code, Section 551.071 (Consultation with Attorney).

Mayor Pro Tempore Rucker closed the regular meeting and opened executive session at 12:02 p.m. and they came back into regular session at 12:17 p.m.

Item six was to consider and approve Tax Settlement Offers in (Cause No. DCV-20825-23).

Council Member Buddy Holmes made a motion to approve the Tax Settlement Offers and it was seconded by Mayor Pro Tempore Rucker. The motion passed with four ayes and 0 nayes and one absent.

The meetin was adjourned at 12:22 p.m.
