Dezi Vargas, president of First Federal Bank SSB in Littlefield, is proud to announce three promotions in the bank’s leadership structure.

Jason Hunter is the new CFO and Vice President of Lending, overseeing the entire loan department.

Hunter is a Lubbock native and graduated from Frenship High School.

After graduating from high school, he worked for 15 years in the restaurant industry, before returning to Texas Tech University where he received his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Accounting in 2014.

He joined Webb and Wright CPA in 2015 and remained there until joining the First Federal Bank organization in 2019 as a Commercial Loan Officer.

He is serving as President of the Littlefield Rotary Club, and is a past president of the Littlefield Chamber of Commerce.

Hunter and his wife, Stephanie, currently reside in Shallowater. They have three children, ages 21 years, 10 years, and 4 years.

Hunter stated that he is looking forward to serving the financial needs of Lamb County citizens, and continue the growth of the only hometown, headquartered financial institution left in Littlefield.

Lisa Muller has been promoted to the position of Assistant Vice President over loan processing. She has served First Federal Bank as a loan processor for the past 21 years. She specializes in Agriculture and Commercial Loan processing. Lisa recently received the Administrative Assistant of the Year by the Rotary Club and Littlefield Chamber of Commerce.

Mrs. Muller was born in Littlefield and her family lived in the Fieldton community until they moved to Sulphur Springs. They were engaged in dairy farming during their time in Sulphur Springs. Her experience in agriculture has given her a unique position and knowledge to better serve agricultural enterprises in the Lamb County area.

Mrs. Muller returned to the Littlefield area to study Journalism at Texas Tech University. In 1979, she married Michael Muller. They have raised two daughters. She has one grand-daughter, 4 years old. She still lives in their family farm home in the Fieldton area. She appreciates the promotion and the opportunity to ensure the excellent service provided to the agricultural community.

Mrs. Hillary Tooley is the new BSA Officer and Assistant Vice President of Deposits. She was born and raised in Littlefield and graduated from Littlefield High School in 2010. After high school graduation, she attended Dallas County College. In 2013, she returned to Littlefield where she was employed at the American Cotton Growers’ Denim plant. In 2014, she joined First Federal Bank as the front desk receptionist and teller. She then advanced to the proof department. She also has experience in debit card support, mortgage loan payment processing, CDs, IRAs, and new accounts.

In 2015, she married Dakota Tooley and they are currently fostering two young boys that they hope to adopt.

Mrs. Tooley stated, “I appreciate the opportunity to further the success of First Federal Bank and our customers.”

President Vargas is proud of the past success of each of these new members of management.
