Eric Saenz wins 55% of City’s Dist. 1 Election

Eric Saenz captured 68 votes for 55% of the 123 total votes cast in the Littlefield City Council’s District 1 Election, to win that place on the City Council.

He is to be sworn in Nov. 10.

The unofficial tabulation of the Nov. 3, City Council’s District 1 General Election, reveals that total voting for the District 1 City Council Election, was 80 votes cast early, and 43 votes cast on Election Day, Nov. 3, 2020, for 100% of the 123 votes cast.

The unofficial tabulation also reveals that Saenz received 49 early votes, and 19 votes Tuesday, Election Day, for his 68 total votes.

Coming in with second place was Robert G Nichols, who received a total of 28 votes, for 23% of the 123 total votes cast in that election. He received 16 early votes, and 12 votes on election day.

Incumbent City Council member Ben Warren came out with third place, with 27 (22%) total votes out of the 123 total votes cast. Warren received 15 early votes, and 12 votes on election day, to bring his total to 27 votes.

The Littlefield City Council will canvass the voting in a special meeting, (Nov. 10), then the winner will be officially sworn into office.
