Waiver of Jury Trial

On April 5, 2024, Jamona D Sanchez Trevino, entered a Guilty plea to the offense for which he was convicted: Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Member, that occurred on Jul. 5, 2023.

The court received the plea, judged the defendant was guilty, the defendant was sentenced to 46 days confinement in the County Jail. The defendant was given 46 days of total jail time credit towards incarceration, and fines and costs.

They were ordered to pay fines in the amount of $100, Reimbursement Fees in the amount of $350 and Court Costs in the amount of $270.

On March 20, 2024, Rudy Garcia JR, entered a Guilty plea to the offense for which he was convicted: Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Member, that occurred on Jul. 14, 2023.

The court received the plea, judged the defendant was guilty, the defendant was sentenced to 120 days confinement in the County Jail, but the Sentence of confinement was suspended and the the defendant was placed on Community Supervision for 18 months.

He was ordered to pay fines in the amount of $600, Reimbursement Fees in the amount of $350, Restitution in the amount of $60 and Court Costs in the amount of $270.

On March 7, 2024, Christopher Pain Underwood, entered a Guilty plea to the offense for which he was convicted: Driving While Intoxicated BAC >=0.15, that occurred on Jan. 3, 2024.

The court received the plea, judged the defendant was guilty, the defendant was sentenced to 90 days confinement in the County Jail, but the Sentence of confinement was suspended and the the defendant was placed on Community Supervision for 2 years.

He was ordered to pay fines in the amount of $100, Restitution in the amount of $60 and Court Costs in the amount of $270.

Motion to Dismiss

On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, a request from the Lamb County District Attorney’s office, that the court dismiss the criminal action against Jose Guadalupe Robledo, for the reason: “Plea Bargain – Plea in DCR6413-24, DCR-6414-24 and DCR-6422-24.”

The judge’s order of dismissal states: “The foregoing motion having been presented to me on the 3rd day of April, 2024, and the same having been considered, it is, therefore Ordered, Adjudged and Decreed that the above styled and numbered case be and the same is hereby Dismissed.

On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, a request from the Lamb County District Attorney’s office, that the court dismiss the criminal action against Greysin James-Holzer Taigaafi, for the reason: “It best serves the interests of justice.”

The judge’s order of dismissal states: “The foregoing motion having been presented to me on the 9th day of April, 2024, and the same having been considered, it is, therefore Ordered, Adjudged and Decreed that the above styled and numbered case be and the same is hereby Dismissed.

On Tuesday, March 19, 2024, a request from the Lamb County District Attorney’s office, that the court dismiss the criminal action against Kevin Joseph Kavanaugh, for the reason: “It best serves the interests of justice.”

The judge’s order of dismissal states: “The foregoing motion having been presented to me on the 19th day of March, 2024, and the same having been considered, it is, therefore Ordered, Adjudged and Decreed that the above styled and numbered case be and the same is hereby Dismissed.

On Wednesday, March 20, 2024, a request from the Lamb County District Attorney’s office, that the court dismiss the criminal action against Rudy Garcia JR, for the reason: “Plea Bargain – plea in CCR-18157 with punishment assessed.”

The judge’s order of dismissal states: “The foregoing motion having been presented to me on the 20th day of March, 2024, and the same having been considered, it is, therefore Ordered, Adjudged and Decreed that the above styled and numbered case be and the same is hereby Dismissed.

DEFERREDADJUDICATION On April 4, 2024, John Douglas Owens entered a guilty plea to the offense of Resist Arrest Search or Transport, that occurred on Nov. 19, 2023. The defendant was placed on deferred Adjudication Community Supervision for nine months.

He also has to pay $270 in court costs.

Discharging Supervision

On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, a request from the District Attorney’s office about a case on Evaleen Sheray Cruz, the judge’s response was: “On this the 5th day of March 2024, came on to be considered the matter of determining whether or not the finding heretofore entered in this cause against the defendant, Evaleen Sheray Cruz, should be set aside and the defendant discharged from Community Supervision, and it appearing to the Court that said the defendant did, on the 6th day of March, 2024, plead Guilty to the misdemeanor offense of Poss of Marij, < 2oz, and further proceedings having been suspended under conditions of Community Supervision for a term of twelve (12) months; and “It further appearing to the Court that the defendant has completed all of the original supervision period, with all conditions of Community Supervision having been satisfactorily fulfilled; “It is therefore ordered that the community supervision of Evaleen Sheray Cruz, is terminated and she is discharged there from.”
