The Commissioners Court of Lamb County held their regular meeting on April 22, in the Lamb County Courthouse, at Littlefield.

Lamb County Judge James DeLoach called the meeting to order and there was nobody present to comment during the public comment portion of the meeting.

Consent agenda items: (a) Consider and take appropriate action on minutes from previous meeting(s); Regular Meeting, April 8, 2024.

(b) Consider and take appropriate action on budget and salary amendments and/or line item transfers; None.

(c) Consider and take appropriate action on bills presented by the County Auditor; Gina Jones.

(d) Consider and take appropriate action on payroll; Jerry Yarbrough.

(e) Consider and take appropriate action on departmental reports; In Packet. (f) Consider and take appropriate action on Donations; $150.00 for Extension office and total of $700.00 for Lamb County Library in Littlefield.

The motion was made by Commissioner Danny Short and seconded by Commissioner Cory DeBerry to approve the consent agenda items. The vote being called for and all voting Aye, the motion carried and so ordered.

Item four on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on copier for the Extension office.

The motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan and seconded by Commissioner Kent Lewis to approve purchasing a larger copier for the Extension office. The motion carried.

The next order of business was to consider and take appropriate action on Resolution for funding through the Economic Development Administration for public works improvement around the Continental facility.

The motion was made by Commissioner Logan and seconded by Commissioner Short to approve Resolution for funding through the Economic Development Administration for public works improvement around the Continental facility for water line, at no cost to Lamb County.

The motion carried. Future agenda items were discussed: Ag Barn has had three events, a few items need repair.

District Attorney hired a Law Clerk staring May 28, 2024.

LHC had a good month in March, 2024. Sleep lab is open and going well.

May 2, 2024 Extension office having public forum at Our Place.

New Emergency Management ID cards available in May, 2024.

G200 class for Elected Officials will be in May, 2024.

Civil Cases are increasing in the last few months.

Civil Cases are decreasing from the Texas Civil Commitment Center.

With there being no further business to come before this Commissioners Court, motion was made by Commissioner Logan and seconded by Commissioner Short to adjourn. The motion carried.
