Arrest made in murder of D’Kota Tiller

Because of a determined and thorough investigation and with the assistance of the Texas Rangers and the Lamb County District Attorney’s Office an arrest has been made in the murder of D’kota Tiller that occurred on Jan. 9, 2023.

On January 9, 2023 at about 10:44 p.m., D’kota Tiller was shot and killed in front of his three-yearold daughter.

On April 21, 2023, at 10:45 hrs., Calvin Wormly was arrested and charged with homicide in the death of D’kota Tiller. He was arrested in Levelland and arraigned before a Hockley County Magistrate. He was transported to the Hockley County Jail where he was released to their custody.
