149,600 bales ginned in County

Lamb County gins have been working diligently since cotton producers began harvests and getting their modules to the gins.

During a survey of the five gins Tuesday morning, Nov. 24, they have together turned out a total of 149,600 bales of the 2020-year cotton crop.

All of them still have modules on their yards to be ginned, and many more waiting to be picked up from the fields and brought to the gins. There are also some fields that have not yet been harvested. Producers

Texas Producers Cooperative Gins at Amherst and Sudan had together ginned a total of 35,095 bales, as of Tuesday morning, Nov. 24. Their first bales came out on Monday, Oct. 12.

The Sproinglake-Earth Cotton Growers Gin at Springlake had ginned a total of 13,005 bales since their first bales were ginned Oct. 16.

Olton Ag Producers, together, have ginned 83,750 bales of the 2020 cotton crop, since they began ginning on Sept. 29.

The Spade Coop Gin has turned out a total of 17,750 bales so far, since they began on Oct. 13, for their 2020 ginning season.
