Gordon Graves of Spade, a member of the South Plains Antique Tractor Association, is hosting the Association’s 12th Annual Antique Equipment “Plow Day” Saturday, March 23, 2024, on his farm just off FM 168, three miles north of Spade.

Graves will be joining several others who will be having fun using their antique equipment to “deep break” the land east of his barn and house. Included in the fun this year, will be a team of horse pulling a plow. This should be an interesting event for everyone to see!

Graves invites antique farm equipment owners, to bring their deep-breaking equipment and join others who will be breaking the ground.

He also has about 16 antique plows that will be available for those who want to use them.

The public is also invited to “Come on out and watch the action,” which will begin at about 9 a.m., and conclude at about 4 p.m.

The noon meal will be sponored by First Federal BankSSB, of Littlefield.

After lunch, at about 1 p.m., a four-wheel trailer backing contest will begin, to see who can back the trailer straight for 100 feet, and get it across the line.
