Wisemans Celebrate 60th Anniversary

Bill Wiseman, formerly of Sudan and Gladys Mary Striegler Wiseman, formerly of Johnson City, Texas celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary at the Resort in Big Canoe, Georgia. All arrangements were carried out by their daughter, Amy Lucretia Wiseman Graham.

Bill and Gladys met on the 1st of January 1962 where Bill served his country in the Army Medical Service Corps as a Medical Entomologist and Gladys was serving her country in the Army Nurse Corps.

Their wedding occurred in Fredericksburg, Texas on November 2, 1963. They have two children: William Samuel II and Amy Lucretia. They are blessed with two grandchildren: William Samuel Wiseman III and Samantha Camryn Graham.

Bill and Gladys enjoyed the setting of Big Canoe, playing games and eating at several great restaurants and cakes provided by friends; Sue Trammell (Key Lime Cake) and Rob Winstead a Carrot Cake.

The house was decorated by Amy and Rob and Amy presented the couple with many cards from friends and kin.

The couple was also recognized at a recent church fellowship where both are members of the Ridge Ave church of Christ, Tifton, GA. Gladys and Bill have served the church since 1967 and Bill has led the a capella singing there and still does today.

Bill and Gladys have made their home in Tifton, GA since May 1967; however, when the time comes Lord willing and the Creek don’t rise, both being Texans, will be buried in the Sudan Cemetery.
