The Amherst Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture will be hosting its 42nd annual Chamber Banquet at 7 p. m. Tuesday, March 28, 2023, in the Amherst School Cafeteria.

Amherst is celebrating 100 years, so the theme for this year’s banquet is “‘Amherst’, Texas Proud, 100 Years 2023”.

Tickets are available at the Amherst City Hall, or from any Chamber of Commerce member at a cost of $15 for adults, $5 for children 4-12 years old, and children 3 and under free The dinner will be catered by River Smith’s Catering.

Several citizens of Amherst will speak on the 100 Year History of Amherst.

The “ Citizen of the Year” will be honored and presented an award; and the Senior High School Scholarships will be awarded.

Another exciting part of the program will be the drawing for several door prizes.
