The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity basketball team took down the Morton Indians in their tournament-opener at the 2021 Whitharral invitational on Thursday, 50-24. Ethan Boggs drove the lane for a lay-up, drawing an and-one foul on JJ Jaramillo to open the contest.

Nettes blow Floydada away at home, 63-32

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team took down the Floydada Lady Wind on Monday, 63-32. With the win, the Nettes improve to 10-7 overall on the season. Sudan poured in 21 points in the first quarter, to take a, 21-4 lead into the second frame.

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team rallied past the Springlake-Earth Wolverines on Tuesday in Olton, 56-48. Springlake-Earth senior, Evan DeLeon, got the Wolverines off and running Tuesday night, as he banked in a runner from the right side to put them up, 2-0.

The Olton Fillies’ varsity basketball team won a thriller in regulation on Tuesday at home over the Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines, 41-40. With 5:26 remaining in the opening-quarter, Springlake-Earth junior, Halee Toscano, was fouled on an attempt by Olton senior, Shaylee Leathers.
