S-E Wolverines stay perfect in district play

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity basketball team won back-to-back district games over Cotton Center and Lazbuddie. With the wins, the Wolverines improve to 14-6 overall, 7-0 in district play.

Nettes throttle Lady Eagles at home, 64-17

The Sudan Nettes stayed unbeaten in district play on Tuesday with a victory over the Seagraves Lady Eagles, 64-17. With the win, the Nettes improve to 5-0 in district play. It was a low-scoring affair early-on, with Sudan holding a, 7-2, lead going into quarter number two.

Hornets split district games with Morton, Seagraves

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity basketball team split their last two district contests, taking down the Morton Indians last Friday, before falling to the Seagraves Eagles this past Tuesday. Sudan downed Morton last Friday, 75-45, to earn their first district win of the season.

ABERNATHY TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS – This past weekend, the Littlefield Wildcats’ eighth grade basketball team competed in the Abernathy Tournament, where they went 3-0 to take first place. In their firstround match-up, Littlefield defeated Slaton, 43-24.
