The Olton Mustang’s varsity basketball team edged out the Floydada Whirlwinds on Friday, 53-47, during the Summer Shootout Basketball Tournament that was held at Wildcat Gym in Littlefield.

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity basketball team held off the Olton Mustangs on Friday, 46-36, during the Summer Shootout basketball tournament, held at Wildcat Gym.

WILDCATS BLAST WHIRLWINDS, 79-63

The Littlefield Wildcats finished out the Summer Shootout Tournament on Friday undefeated, as they took down Floydada, 79-63. Floydada opened the contest on an, 8-0, scoring run before Elijah Salazar dropped in a lay-up to trim the lead to, 8-2, with 18:18 remaining in the opening half.

WILDCATS TAKE DOWN MULESHOE, 63-48

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity basketball team won their first game of the Summer Shootout Basketball Tournament hosted by Littlefield on Friday afternoon, as they took down the Muleshoe Mules, 63-48.

The Littlefield Wildcats finished third in District 3- 3A and were well represented on the All-District teams. Senior, Jordan Trevino, led the way for the Wildcats, as he was named the MVP of the District.

Sudan softball players earn All-district honors

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity softball team had several members of the team earn All-District Honors. Junior, Gracyn Shultz, earned 1 st Team Utility Player, and was the lone first-team selection.
