Wolverines throttle Hart Longhorns, 91-26

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity basketball team blasted the Hart Longhorns last Tuesday, 91-26, to improve to 11-3 overall, 8-0 in districtplay.

The Wolverines came out hot in the first quarter, pouring in 26 points, behind 12 points from junior, Evan DeLeon, and eight points from junior, Trace Goodman, helping them to a, 26-10, lead heading into the second quarter.

In quarter number two, the Wolverines outscored the Longhorns, 16-8, to take a 42-18, lead into the locker room athalftime. Junior, Kaden Castillo poured in 11 points in the third quarter, as the Wolverines ballooned their lead out to, 64-23.

JJ Jaramillo added 10 points in the final frame en route to the Wolverines blowout win over Hart, 91-26.

DeLeon led the Wolverines in scoring with 25 points and he was joined in double-figures scoring by Castillo, who chipped in 19 points, Goodman, who contributed 14 points and Jai amino, who finished with 12 points.

Alvarez also finished in double-figures scoring with 10 points, while Timothy Tanaro added nine points and senior, Daryl Castillo finishedwith two points.
