The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity golf team competed at the 1A State Golf Tournament on Monday and Tuesday at the Crystal Falls Golf Course in Leander, Texas, where they finished one stroke shy of a top three finish with a team score of 698.
Junior, Tyler Tanaro, finished fifth overall individually, shooting a team best total score of 163, finishing with a score of 85 on day one, and a score of 78 on day two.
Senior, Xavyer Mosqueda, shot an 84 on day one and an 85 on day two for a total score of 169, while sophomore, Froylan Agundiz, shot an 87 on day one and an 89 on day two for a total score of 176.
Senior, Braden Bradley, shot a 96 on day one, and a 94 on a day two finishing with a total score of 190, and senior, Slade Beerwinkle, rounded out the team shooting a 114 on day one and a 108 on day two for a total score of 222.
