The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team fell to the Canadian Lady Cats on Friday, 58-30.
With the loss, the Nettes fall to 3-9 overall on the season.
It was a tight game early-on, with the Nettes trailing Canadian, 15-13, heading into quarter number two. In the second quarter, though, Sudan was held to just five points, as the Lady Cats took a, 29-18, lead into the locker room at halftime.
In the third quarter, the Nettes tallied just four points and added eight points in the final frame, as they fell to Canadian, 58-30.
Sophomore, Gracyn Shultz, led the team in scoring with 13 points, to go along with two rebounds, two steals, two blocks and one assist. Junior, Addison Boehning, tallied nine points, six rebounds, two assists and one steal, while junior, Liz Sital, contributed seven steals, five rebounds and four points.
Sophomore, Braelyn Pointer, netted four points, to go along with three rebounds, one assist and one steal, while senior, Zoey Cantu, chipped in two rebounds and two steals and sophomore, Sydnie Cornelius, added one rebound, one assist and one steal.
Sophomore, Landree Gonzales, tallied one rebound and one steal, while Riley Edens finished with one rebound.
The Nettes were at Bovina on Friday. Results were not available at press time. They will continue their season on Monday at Seminole.
Tip-off is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
