MUSTANGS FALL SHORT AGAINST FALCONS, 73-50

The Olton Mustangs fell short on Friday against the Bushland Falcons, 73-60.

With the loss, the Mustangs fall to 5-1 overall on the season.

Bushland jumped out to a, 25-11, lead to end the first quarter, but the Mustangs came galloping back in the second quarter and outscored the Falcons, 19-11, in quarter number two to cut the lead to five points, 36-31, going into the locker room at halftime.

The Falcons netted 19 points in the third quarter to extend their lead back out to, 52-43, heading into the final quarter of play. In the final frame, Olton outscored Bushland, 17-15, but fell short in their comeback efforts, 73-60.

Jake Soliz netted 15 points to lead the team in scoring, while Bryson Ramage joined him in double-figures scoring with 10 points. Brennon Huguley chipped in nine points, while Jack Allcorn, contributed eight points and Chris Urbina and Aldo Vasquez each finished with six points.

Alex Santillan added five points and Israel Santillan chipped in one point in the contest.
