The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity cross country team competed at the Plainview Invitational Cross Country Meet on Saturday at Running Waters Draw Regional Park, where they placed third overall, first out of 1A schools.
Sophomore, Taytum Goodman, ran a blistering 10:52.14 to take first place overall at the event and she was joined in the top 10 by freshman, Reagan Ethridge, who placed seventh overall with a time of 13:04.43.
Sophomore, Emma Samaron, finished 18 th overall with a time 13:59.07, while sophomore, DeDe Delgado, finished 27 th with a time of 14:44.95. Aryca Ibarra finished 29 th with a time of 14:48.16, while Marisella Rodriguez finished 40 th overall with a time of 15:30.50.
Senior, Mahalia Delgado, finished 47 th with a time of 15:43.13, while freshman, Jade Hill, finished 52 nd with a time of 16:00.10. Senior, Kimberly Cruz, finished 55 th overall with a time of 16:16.65, while sophomore, Jasmine Garcia, finished 71 st overall with a time of 17:09.75.
The Lady Wolverines will be competing again on Sept. 25 th at Lubbock at 1 p.m.
