Jesus “Pops” DeLaCruz, 79, of Olton, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2021, in Lubbock, TX. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021, at Trinity Baptist Church in Olton with Brother Joel Perez officiating. Interment followed at Olton Cemetery under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Orville Hill, 87, of Sudan, passed away Monday, Sept. 27, 2021 at home. He was born Aug. 22, 1934 in Sudan, Texas to Jack Yelton Hill and Lerma (Groom) Hill. Orville married Dorothy Barber Feb. 9, 1962 in Sudan.

Maria Z. Garza, 93, of Springlake passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2021 at home. She was born April 13, 1928 in Karnes City, TX to Ramon and Candida (Chapa) Zamora. Maria married Hilario Garza Sept. 11, 1948 in Santa Anna, TX. Together they had six daughters and one son.

Dwayne Powell

Dwayne Powell, 84, lifelong resident of Sudan, went home to be with his Lord and his wife, Wednesday, September 22, 2021, in Littlefield. He was born January 6, 1937, in Lamb County, Texas to Forrest and Minnie (Hillis) Powell.

Rufus Lee Ducey Williams

On September 21, 2021, Rufus Lee Ducey Williams passed away at the age of 75 in Lubbock, Texas. Rufus was born on February 8, 1946 in Novice, Texas, to the union of Leora Thompson and Harvest Williams, Sr. He graduated from North Powderly High School where he excelled in math and sports.

Mary (Rios) Arredondo

Funeral Services for Mary (Rios) Arredondo 56, of Orange Grove, Texas is scheduled for Tuesday, September 28 at 11:30 am at Trevino Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial in Corpus Christi. Monday will be visitation from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Monico Aguilar, 82, passed away Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021 in Littlefield. He was born March 26, 1939 in Littlefield to Fernando and Consuella (Guerra) Aguilar. Monico married Carolina Coronado on Nov. 19, 1958 in Littlefield. He was a hard worker and worked for the City of Littlefield for many years.

RUFUS LEE WILLIAMS

Deacon Rufus Lee Williams, age 75, passed away on Sept. 21, 2021 at University Medical Center in Lubbock after a brief illness. Funeral Services for Deacon Williams will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Littlefield. Visitation will be on Monday, Sept.

T. L. (Terry) Garrett

Celebration of Life Services for T. L. (Terry) Garrett, 82, were held on Tuesday at Trinity Church. Pastor Garrett died Friday, Sept. 17, 2021. Services were under the direction of Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.
