Lloyd Smith, 61, of Petersburg, stepped into glory to be with his beloved Savior Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in Lubbock. Lloyd was born January 13, 1960 in Seagraves, to James Ray and Avis (Nail) Smith. He was raised in Springlake, where he graduated from Springlake-Earth High School in 1978.

Jose “Joe” Brito, 80, of Anton passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in Levelland. He was born on February 11, 1941 in Robstown, Texas to Apolonio Brito and Concepcion Garza Brito. Joe married Maria Garcia on August 9, 1965 in Hereford, Texas.

Antonia Leos, 86, passed away Wednesday Jan. 12, 2022 in Littlefield, TX. She was born on Jan. 6, 1936 to Dolores Garcia and Romina Vargus Garcia. She was married for 36 years to Rafeal Leos.

Joe Angel Soliz, 50, of Olton, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022, in Lubbock. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, with Fr. George Poonely officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Laura Melissa Jones Young passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born to Etta Black Jones and Charlie Jones on Friday, July 31, 1936 in Amherst, Texas. After a peaceful graveside service last week, she was laid to rest next to her husband in De Queen, Ark.
